Selling Here — Four Short Guides
Vendor Guide
How to Set Up Your Market
Tap Become a Vendor above and tell us your business name, what you make or grow, and when people can pick up.
Cottage-food items need your registration number — and ready-to-eat foods are pickup-only by law, which the site enforces for you.
Once approved, add each product with a photo, an honest description, and how many you have.
Keep your pickup window reliable: showing up when you said is what earns the ratings.

How to Take Product Photos
Use daylight — beside a window or outside in open shade, never a flash. Set the item on a plain background like a cutting board or clean cloth, and fill the frame with the product.
Take at least three photos: straight on, at an angle, and one close-up of the label or texture.
Your phone camera is plenty — wipe the lens first, and skip the filters.
The photo is a promise: buyers should see exactly what they'll pick up.

How to Price
Start from what it costs you — ingredients, packaging, and your time — then check what similar items bring at a farmers market.
Round to easy numbers: $6 reads better than $5.87, and by the dozen or by the pound beats odd quantities.
Never bake tax into your price — the correct Arizona rate (grocery or prepared-food) is added automatically at checkout, so your listed price is your shelf price.

Arizona Cottage Food Laws
A quick checklist — a starting point, not legal advice. The Arizona Department of Health Services Cottage Food Program is the authority, and its rules change.
1. Register with the AZDHS Cottage Food Program (it's free) and keep your registration number — the site asks for it when you list cottage foods.
2. Get a food handler card from an accredited provider and keep it current.
3. Sell only foods the program allows for home kitchens — think breads, cookies, jams, honey, dry mixes. Foods that need refrigeration to stay safe are the ones most often refused; check AZDHS's current list before you bake.
4. Label every package: the product name, your name and registration number, the ingredients, any allergens, and the required statement that it was made in a home kitchen not inspected by a health authority.
5. Ready-to-eat foods are pickup-only — this site enforces that for you (POL-004), so a cottage listing can never be shipped by mistake.
6. When in doubt, ask before you list: azhealth.gov, search "cottage food".
Shop by Category
Tap a tile to browse. Category names match the platform catalog exactly (SOP-MKT-001).
Prepared & ready-to-eat items are taxed at Arizona's higher prepared-food rate, not the grocery rate. The correct rate is applied at checkout.

Senior & Accessible Support — coming soon
Light housekeeping and chore help for aging-in-place neighbors, offered on referral. Built and gated; not yet bookable.
Market Delivery
Insured local drivers fulfilling market orders. More services coming as Rim Country grows.
Vehicle Verification
Vehicle Verification — $89. Buyers trust a listing more when a neutral third party has confirmed the basics. A background-checked contractor meets the seller, matches the VIN, photographs the odometer, confirms the vehicle matches the listing, and — if the seller states it starts and runs — starts it to confirm that. An optional OBD reading add-on (+$25) is available. On completion the listing shows a dated Verified Vehicle badge. This is verification that the physical vehicle and its data match the listing — not an inspection, mechanical diagnosis, appraisal, or safety judgment. Buyers should still do their own due diligence.
Disability Services Coming soon
Not yet available. Support services for disabled and older neighbours are the reason this platform exists, and they are the part we are least willing to launch half-built. Duty-of-care review, worker vetting and the right SOPs come first.
If this is something you or someone you care for needs, tell us now — it shapes what we build and in what order. Write to admin@rimcountryx.com and a person will reply.

Project Good Bird
In formation · Proposed Arizona Public Benefit Corporation · A separate initiative
The idea in one sentence: a Rim Country corridor drone supply-delivery system and its supporting infrastructure — built for this region's specific realities: fire country, remote communities, mountain roads that close, and neighbors who sometimes can't be reached in time.
What we will build, in order
Drone infrastructure development — the corridor groundwork (siting, charging/relay points, operations standards) that everything else stands on.
Emergency response use research — studying where drones genuinely help first responders here, done with the agencies, not around them.
Emergency supply delivery — medications, communications gear, and essentials to people cut off by fire, snow, or flood.
GIS research — mapping the corridor: terrain, coverage, risk zones, and the routes that matter when minutes count.
AI compute for good — putting modern compute to work on public-benefit problems for this region, and showing that's what it's for.
Why a Public Benefit Corporation
The mission — regional resilience and emergency capability — is the product. A PBC structure holds us to that on paper, not just in spirit.
A separate project. Project Good Bird is its own initiative and (once formed) its own entity — distinct from Rim Country Community Services LLC. It shares the region and the values, not the books.
